Brenda Grace Agoyothé McKenna, a Nambé Pueblo Native American, has served as our Senator since January 2021, during which time she worked for both of our US Representatives, Deb Haaland and Melanie Stansbury, as their NM field representative.

Matthew McQueen, a Galisteo attorney and businessman, has served as our Representative since 2023 after his district was dramatically reshaped based on the 2020 census redistricting, which included Placitas. He reached out to us and other communities in 2022 despite running unopposed and has stayed connected to our issues. This year he faces ultra conservative opposition in November.
