In the midst of the recent ruling from our New Mexico Supreme Court, here are some key steps to voting in the primary this June 2nd:
Step 1 – Confirm your Voter Registration or Register to Vote
- If you are not registered or need to update your information Click Here to Register. THE DEADLINE IS MAY 5!!!
- If you prefer to print out a voter registration form and mail it to your county clerk’s office click Print out Voter Registration Form (English) / (Espanol).

Step 2 – Request an Absentee Ballot
The Primary and General elections are scheduled to proceed with both in-person and absentee balloting, however, we are asking that you request an absentee ballot to be sent to your home to allow you to vote by mail.
- An absentee ballot application must be requested and postmarked no later than May 28, 2020.

PLEASE NOTE AN APPLICATION FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IS NOT THE SAME AS GETTING THE ABSENTEE BALLOT.
ONCE YOU REQUEST THE BALLOT, IT WILL BE MAILED TO YOU, YOU WILL NEED TO FILL OUT YOUR BALLOT AND MAIL IT BACK OR RETURN IT TO YOUR COUNTY CLERKS OFFICE BY JUNE 2, 2020.
