Dear Friend,
One of my top priorities in Congress is to make sure that key federal funding reaches our communities in New Mexico. From housing to behavioral health, to research and innovation, there are so many funding opportunities made possible through federal grant programs—and our goal is to make sure that organizations, local governments, and members of our communities have the tools to learn about and apply to these crucial programs. That’s why my office is hosting our first grants workshop so every member of our communities in the First Congressional District can learn about available funding opportunities and get familiar with the grant application process! We’d like to invite you to attend The Roadmap to Funding: Grants Workshop with my office at UNM Science & Technology Rotunda on May 27th from 11 AM to 1 PM. You can RSVP here. If you’re not able to make it in person, we’re hoping you can join us on our Zoom live here. Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop, whether you represent a nonprofit, a local or Tribal government, or are simply interested in hearing from state, federal, and local partners about the breadth of funding sources available to support your projects. We have an exciting agenda planned! We will begin with a presentation from our Congressional Delegation’s grants coordinator before hearing from New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, NM Thrives, Pivotal NM, and State Infrastructure Advisor Marty Chávez. After hearing from our panelists, we will host an open resource fair where participants can visit tables, network, ask questions, and get resources on available funding. We look forward to seeing you there! Please contact my District Office at (505) 346-6781 with any questions. As always, if I can be of any assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or my staff. If you’d like to keep up to date on what I am working on in Washington on behalf of New Mexico’s First Congressional District and our communities, you can subscribe to our newsletter here, and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Sincerely, Melanie A. Stansbury |
