As you have likely heard, this week the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This case is a direct challenge to Roe v Wade; the landmark ruling that determined states cannot ban abortion prior to viability. This blog post by Legal Voice does a great job at providing some historical context and a local perspective for what this might mean for the Pacific Northwest, but what is most important is that you take action now:

  • The most immediate effect we are seeing is lack of access. Please donate to these organizations that are working to help people overcome the many barriers to access:
  • Click here to call and tell the Senate to vote YES on the Women’s Health Protection Act. This legislation would protect the right to abortion throughout the United States and guard against the dangerous abortion bans and medically unnecessary abortion restrictions being pushed forward by state politicians.
    • Thank our WA Senators Murray and Cantwell for really championing this bill.
  • Sign the petition from Planned Parenthood to add your name to the ever-growing list of people who are telling the Supreme Court that upholding Roe v. Wade is essential.
