Write On!

Dear Fellow New Mexicans,

How would you like to alter public opinion, “right the ship,” and help steer a new course for New Mexico and our country? Let me tell you how.

I was asked to coordinate an effort to ramp up letters-to-editors (LTE) from New Mexicans to papers across our state, and I am enthusiastically committed to doing so. Please join me on this “Write On NM!” project. It requires NO experience, and as little or as much time as you wish to devote to it, on your schedule.

A recently retired psychologist, I have had considerable LTE experience, both within and outside New Mexico, with local and national publications. I believe it is an effective way to reach a wide audience and thereby impact public opinion, which is critical to changing public policy.

• So, if you are passionate about one or more issues (cost of living, deportations, affordable and accessible healthcare, crime, etc.), and wish to enjoy the First Amendment while we still have it, please join me in this effort.
• If you also have specialized knowledge (e.g., lawyers, veterans, educators, health care practitioners, union activists), and feel you have the content, but that you need help writing for newspapers or simply want feedback, I am happy to help.
