Congressman Gabe Vasquez’s recent op-ed in the Albuquerque Journal really spoke for all of us. He says, “Hundreds of millions of dollars for a ballroom with Italian marble floors to entertain the rich. A $70 million luxury jet. A massive tax giveaway for billionaires, negotiated at a Florida golf course. And a $75 billion slush fund for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to profile, detain and deport Hispanic people, the vast majority of whom have no criminal records.” He is right, we need a President and a Congress who will bring the focus of the White House back to our issues: lowering food prices, not building ballrooms: lowering gas prices, not waging wars.
